How can I book Chalet Zugspitze?
You can send an inquiry through this website or even book directly. Chalet Zugspitze can also be booked via the portal of the municipality of Grainau or leading online travel agencies e.g. Booking.com
What are the advantages of booking directly on this website?
We are particularly pleased about guests who book directly with us, as fees for services of the online travel agencies are incurred for us and partly for the guests.
Guests who book directly on this website enjoy the wellness area at no additional cost (value approx. € 200).
Can I book Chalet Zugspitze and additionally the Lodge or Garden Apartment?
The Chalet Zugspitze consists of a ground floor (garden apartment) and an attic (lodge apartment), which are separated from each other by a door. Therefore either Chalet Zugspitze as a whole or the apartments can be booked at the same time. Prices for Chalet Zugspitze are a little cheaper than the sum of the individual prices for the garden and lodge apartment.
How many people can live in Chalet Zugspitze or in the garden and lodge apartment?
Lodge apartment (top floor of Chalet Zugspitze,> 100sqm): Maximum occupancy - 4 adults and 2 children. The apartment has a master bedroom with an attached bunk bed for 2 children. There is also a sofa bed in the living room.
Garden apartment (ground floor of Chalet Zugspitze,> 100sqm): Maximum occupancy - 6 adults and 3 children. The apartment has 3 bedrooms, each with a cot.
Chalet Zugspitze (entire house,> 200sqm): Maximum occupancy - 8 adults and 5 children. The maximum occupancy for the entire house is slightly lower than the sum of the apartments, because the spacious living room in the attic should remain usable for all guests.
When can the chalet or the apartments be accessed or by when must the departure take place?
The chalet or the apartments can be used from 4:00 p.m. on the day of arrival. Ideally, you should move in between 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. Please let us know your expected arrival time on the day of arrival.
Please vacate the chalet or the apartments by 10:00 a.m. on the day of departure so that the house or the apartments can be prepared for the next guests.
Can the spa area be booked exclusively?
If you have booked the entire holiday home Chalet Zugspitze, you are entitled to the exclusive use of the spa area. If you have booked one of the apartments and the spa area (or directly on this website), then you can use the spa area. However, guests from the other apartment may also have the right to use the spa area.
Are towels for the spa area included?
Towels for the spa area are provided on loan. We also provide essences for infusions. Please only use them according to the instructions for use in order to avoid irritation from overdosing. Please bring your own bathrobe and slippers.
Which hygiene measures can we trust in?
We change the water for the whirlpool after every guest change. The sauna and the facilities in the house are thoroughly cleaned by a professional cleaning team. The bed linen is washed and disinfected externally by a company.
How much is the advance payment and when is it to be paid?
The advance payment is 30% of the total amount and is due with the booking.
How much is the deposit?
The deposit is 900 € for Chalet Zugspitze or 500 € each for the Garden or Lodge Apartment. We ask that you transfer the deposit together with the final payment (total amount minus advance payment) no later than 4 weeks before arrival.
The deposit serves as security for any damage caused by the tenant and is transferred back to the tenant's account within one week after departure after any deductions that are previously communicated.
When are payments due?
30% of the total amount is due upon booking. 70% are due 4 weeks before arrival at the latest. We will send you an invoice by email for each payment.
What payment methods are available?
Please transfer the invoice amount to the bank details given on the invoice. We are still setting up other payment methods (PayPal, credit card, etc.). Please contact us if this is an important request for you.
Changes and cancellation
Can I change the travel group after booking?
You can change the people who live in the house with you. Please let us know in writing to firstname.lastname@example.org (first name, surname, date of birth, address). You can also report additional guests up to 1 week before arrival, provided that the maximum occupancy is not exceeded with these guests. The additional guest will be billed accordingly.
Can I also bring a dog that I have not specified in the booking?
Well behaved dogs are welcome with us. Please report the dog to us in writing via email to email@example.com. We will invoice the dog and the more intensive final cleaning accordingly.
Can I cancel the booking?
You can cancel the booking in writing at any time. However, the following costs apply depending on the time of cancellation:
- up to 6 months before arrival, the deposit of 30% of the total amount will be charged.
- Less than 6 months to 4 weeks before arrival, 50% of the total amount will be charged.
- <4 weeks to 1 day before arrival, 90% of the total amount will be charged.
- In the event of no-show / no-show or early departure, only the visitor's tax will be refunded.
We strongly recommend that you take out travel cancellation insurance in order to avoid costs for our guests that arise if they are unable to travel.
Do special regulations apply during the corona pandemic?
If the trip cannot be started because the federal or state government prohibits the use of our holiday home or apartments for the duration of your trip, we will refund you the amount you have already paid.
